No, this blog is not hosted by NASA

...neither am I a NASA shill. The closest I've ever been to NASA has been as accredited media, exactly as Richard Hoagland was many times (until he pissed them off so badly he was blackballed.)

Peter Uwira, who is certainly no fool, posted this on the Final Frontier FB page last Saturday:
[Y]ou know what's funny? Someone recommended a program to me with which you can check out, if sites that you visit attempt to collect data from you (as most commercial sites do). I gave it a try with Expat's blog and guess who showed up as the source of a hidden info-request to my computer: NASA! So NASA servers host Expat's private anti-Hoagland blog?
No, that's not what it means. Here's the page content, as listed by Firefox 'View Page Info > Media':

See that second item? It's the image of the WISE infra-red survey—currently the very first in-line image in the page. Certainly, Peter Uwira and anyone else who visits the page enters into a transaction with a NASA server. If they didn't, they couldn't see the image.

I'm not seeing the relevance in any case. You aren't asking people to take your word for the fact that (for instance) Hoagland screwed up his rocket equation calculations, or that only one Lunar landing site meets the "ritual numbers" meme that he and Bara are trying to sell. Those facts are easily verifiable (unlike almost all of Hoagland's work) for anyone who knows how to use Google. So who you might work for (or most certainly not work for) is beside the point.

I'm also having trouble with the whole idea of Hoagland being important enough to warrant attention from anyone in officialdom, outside of the IRS ("What is it you actually do for a living Mr. Hoagland?") that is. Sure the world would be a much more interesting place if the government was actually concerned with the rantings of an unemployed former museum curator. Of course a reality that included late night talk radio as a major source of "truth" would be fun to live in. Unfortunately though, we really don't live in that world, no matter how much Hoagland may wish it.

I think it's fair to say that NASA occasionally commemortates major and minor historical events with new missions. This is rather common practice in many human endeavors, such as Kim Jong Un celebrating the 100th aniversery of North Korea's god and founder, granddaddy Kim Il Sung's birthday, by launching a proven perfectly reliable, Chinese rocket, only to have it shot down by the X-37B, same as what happened between his daddy the other god, and the Space Shuttle on the 4th of July, 2009.

You know this how??

China and Russia wanted to see what became of Brilliant Pebbles, so they directed their proxy, Kim Jong Il to test US in 2009. Now that the X-37B has replaced the Shuttle, they wanted to test the upgrade, so we all danced that dance again. Just ask Captain Lisa Marie Nowak, USN, what happened, and why the Men in Black chased her clear across the country.

Dear god, you missed

The NSA that hacks facebook and google just tried to weasel my phone number out of me before allowing me to post the previous comment. I simply clicked back and tried again. The censor fell asleep at the switch.

By the way, the code words to prove I'm not a robot keep coming up "THE" now, same as on facebook.

Captain Nowak the Diaper Astro-nut...

This secret agent stuff belongs on Mars Revealer.

Chris,

Ostensibly, Hoagland isn't asking The Faithful to take his conclusions at face value, either; he takes pride in saying that "anybody can verify [his] results". The difference between him and this blog lies in the fact that here, (minor) mistakes are acknowledged instead of being swept under the rug and never mentioned again, and there, the readers tend not to have the scientific knowledge to poke holes in the patent absurdity. They prefer a good story and are comfortable in their firm convictions that the big bad government has their hands in everything. Here, the actual calculations are often presented in their entirety; this is what reproduceability actually looks like.

Hoagland's vastly inflated sense of his own influence has been amusingly on display for years. A few examples:

-He alone was responsible for the new MGS images of Cydonia (Coast to Coast AM, 03-24-2006)
-He alone is responsible for the Clementine mission back to the Moon (Dark Mission presentation on YouTube, part 19)
-Bush I's announcement of Bush's Mars plan while RCH was on vacation and couldn't appear on CNN (!) (Coast to Coast AM 11-09-2001).
-Mars Observer was "taken black" as soon as the legendary "Hoagland-French debate" was concluded (Dark Mission).

The last two are my personal favorite. The world is watching! Wheels within wheels, my friend...

Expat, you're absolutely right. When I deactivate "show images" in by browser, then there's no notification about NASA interacting with my computer. Sorry for the misunderstanding and thanks for clarifying!

jourget,
While Hoagland certainly says he wants people to do their own research, he discourages those who actually do. When someone on his page was trying to find out which slides he used to put together his famous "Elenin with shield" video, he got down right ornery about the whole thing. In that case, he had a good reason to mad, as the answer would have exposed an outright fraud on his part.

The pattern repeats itself through out Hoagland's work. When he is actually questioned, the questioner is either described as ignorant ("you just don't understand how ..... works"), or part of some vast conspiracy to suppress the truth. There are no legitimate questions about his thesis, only uninformed and evil ones.

As to Hoagland's sense of self importance, yes that is quite laughable. Hoagland tends to live in this wonderful alternate reality where he is the hero of his very own X-Files series. With his homeopathic sidekick at his side (an extremely gullible Sculley to his Mulder), he's fighting to free the rest of us from the hidden oppressors with nothing more than his native wit and a laptop connected to an old watch. Fun stuff.

Peter: I very much appreciate that confirmation. I'd delete this whole thread now as redundant, but I'm enjoying the comments.

Not only did NASA not stand behind their astronaut, they openly disclosed biased information against the US Navy Captain, facilitating to try her in the press. She currently is under a gag order, under penalty of court marshall.

Jiminy Oddbird said...

Also, a correction here: Kin Jong Il fired a second rocket attack in 2009, the first barrage was prior to that in 2004.

Biological_Unit said...

That rocket was for show. Japan was the most threatened, but you don't hear any whining from those folks.

Because they are NOT afraid of those NK goose-steppers.

Communists used to make fun of Hereditary Monarchs. Guess what - North Korea is a hereditary monarchy. They are weak and silly. China even talks with SOUTH Korea officially!

Jiminy Oddbird said...

Japan refused to surrender after Hiroshima. Even after Nagasaki, they only reconsidered as long as the Emperor were allowed to remain in place and retain the title of god.

Jiminy Oddbird said...

It's not as if Japan exactly has much of a free press, now is it. They don't say shit about Fukushima, either.

I thought the X-37B fired up its nuclear rockets and sped over to Mars to nuke Secret Agent Hoagland's discoveries before the next lander can photograph them and riots break out in over 27 countries.

A Most Hyperdimensional Eclipse... and Final Venus
Transit

Biological_Unit said...

He hasn't explained anything. It's an obscure anomaly - no one understands it and few care.

strahlungsamt said...

@Misti, Thanks for the find.

We chose Coral Castle for our first Accutron “torsion field-test,” because a) we couldn’t AFFORD to go to Egypt to measure the Physics of the Transit at the actual Pyramids (!),

So, Hoagie got enough donations to finally pay his hosting company. I love the professional way he says he couldn't AFFORD to go to Egypt. (I wonder will he AFFORD it this year?) Surely, as a scientist, his choice of locations shouldn't be determined by what he could AFFORD but by where the hyperdimensional force is.
Also, a real scientist would share his findings with other scientists and call on them to verify the results in different locations. Especially if the following is true, I think a lot of scientists would be interested in taking part:

The clearly revolutionary nature of these fundamental measurements – throwing both Newton AND Einstein “in the ash can of history,” simultaneously … through the changed vibrations of a simple tuning fork – cannot be overstated; to PROVE, via the dramatically changing Accutron readings, that “mass” and “inertia” are NOT “equivalent” (which has been the cornerstone of modern Physics for the last ~100 years), is totally “paradigm changing” ... for every level of society.

Keep trying Dick. You'll get those donations eventually.

Biological_Unit said...

The Allais effect is poorly understood, whatever is happening.
I submit that whoever is doing hard work regarding this is getting their own instrumentation and equipment together. Too bad that all efforts are in vain because someone ruined it because ONLY Egypt is important on Earth!

Chris Lopes said...

So his first "paper" turns put to be the sales pitch for the Egypt trip. There really is nothing mysterious about eclipses. One astronomical body can ALWAYS be in front of another, depending on where the observer is. Thinking that such things have some magic (and HD physics is just a pseudo-scientific form of magic) power is just the product of ignorance and superstition. Both of which Hoagland needs to pay the bills.

I see. Well, your information is fatally inaccurate.

Chris Lopes said...

Misti,
Have you considered the possibility that Expat (unlike Hoagland) actually has a life outside of the Internet? Many people do you know. They have jobs and families that take up more time (and are more interesting) than the rantings of a geriatric pseudo-scientist and his fake doctor sidekick. So maybe Expat was enjoying life while Hoagland was wasting electrons in the pursuit of other people's money. Just a thought.

Jiminy Oddbird said...

Well, Topher, at least you have time to inanely ramble on here.
