Looks like we're going to have to add one more to the list of Richard Hoagland's empty promises. Eleven days have gone by since he promised his Coast-to-Coast AM audience that he'd "soon" put up on his 1990s-style web site a compilation of images from the Curiosity rover that show "unmistakable" signs of artificiality. Nothing has appeared unless you count a promo for the Mayan Galactic Alignment crooz. Hoagland will, he says, be conducting nightly starwatches and so won't have to pony up the $1500 the plebs will—although, what's the betting he won't show for some of those? (Robin Falkov will be sent on deck to explain that he's in his state room working on a very important project).
So here's a Fail-list, which may not even be complete:
1. Curiosity image compilation, promised on C2C 2 nov 2012
Update: Plus the ruined apartment blocks he described on C2C 16 nov. He said these images would be on the web site "in a few days."
2. "Major paper" on the Accutron readings during the June Venus transit. Hoagland wrote to me on 24th July "When the paper is published, you will have ample data to examine ....Soon."
3. Accutron data on the Annular eclipse last May. He did write a preliminary report, but never followed up. James Concannon blogged about that.
4. Accutron data on the Lunar occultation of Venus, last August. On 3 Aug Hoagland wrote to me "it's really nice to see you're paying such close attention
to all this. This means you WILL, indeed, be "blown away" by the full
data set on the eclipse, to say nothing of the OTHER Accutron torsion
measurements we will soon be publishing ... on the later Venus Transit,
and an up-coming, striking "Lunar Occultation of Venus" occurring August 13th." This has never been mentioned again.
5. A book, The Heritage of Mars: Remembering Forever. This was announced on C2C, 2 April this year. When I blogged it, I also noted that this was the second time around. He first announced this book back in November 2000. It's possible that the book is imminent, but I doubt it. It's a bit late for the Christmas listings already.
6. New video documentary, hosted by himself and produced by Jay Weidner. Promised in November 2007. I blogged about this last January.
7. Von Braun's Secret Part III. Promised in 2008.
8. The Bees' Needs, Part II. Said to be "Currently in Preparation" back in 2007.
9. Moon With a View, Part VII. At the end of Part VI, Hoagland wrote "Coming soon: the
extraordinary Part 7 Conclusion of 'Moon with a View'". That was 2005.
10. Video of the Joshua Tree Conference, also 2005. The promo describes this as a "breakthrough, lavishly illustrated, 2-hour, Wide-Screen, 2 DVD-set
Presentation." It never appeared.

With so many great cliff hangers, you'd think there ought to be at least one publishing advance out of the bunch.
It's pretty obvious that Hoagland decided some time ago to dance only for the paying customers (and sometimes not even for them). The Face Book page and Website have fulfilled their purpose of audience building/maintaining and are no longer worth the effort to actually work on. If the dullards who call themselves his fans haven't already figured this out, they deserve the contempt he holds for them.
I just hope this blog's Google ranking is high enough that Hoagland's fans see it from time to time.
After Richard spoke in coded references* on C2C and TruTV (mentioning: "On The Beach" - Sci-Fi Drama and Winslow Arizona Crater - "This is probably the closest analog to Mars, you're gonna find anywhere on Earth")*, you're gonna find It hard to believe but we should call immediately Dr. Theodora Minsk to aids us by making the "suicide" pills available and tell us: What kind of pills can people take to commit suicide?
John, you know Dr Minsk well enough to know that she never has nor ever would advocate suicide. However, she did make mention of how Richard C Hoagland was influential in the Heaven's Gate Cult's belief in the Hale-Bopp companion.
By the way, John, I noticed your link to Hoagland's boat show. What's you motivation with that?
Misti Parker, you sound like you are a teacher! Why don't you call me Jack. My motivation is to draw people's attention on the Event of the End of the Old World of Darkness And the Beginning of a New World of Light!
Ruth: Will the lifeboats be seated according to class? I hope they're not too crowded.
Rose: Oh mother, shut up! Don't you understand? The water is freezing and there aren't enough boats. Not enough by half. Half the people on this ship are going to die.
Cal Hockley: Not the better half.
Molly Brown: Come on Ruth, get in the boat. First-class seats are right up here.
Cal Hockley: You know, it's a pity I didn't keep that drawing. It'll be worth a lot more by morning.
Rose: You unimaginable bastard!

Don`t you feel lucky John Cooper?. As the editor in chief of The Richard Hoagland Gazette, you have the ability to interact on his Blog.with but most amongst us(Space Nazis worshipers) don`t even have the privilege to question King Richard about his regular discharge of pseudo intellectual pollution
@Expat.I knew Mike Bara was wrong about your sexual orientation;). Tu aimes Françoise Hardy?,elle est charmante,indeed...
By Hoagland's grey mullet! Sometimes the comments here are harder to follow than the former CBS consultant's (and personal friend of Walter Cronkite, Arthur C. Clark, the Pope, etc.,etc.) pseudo-scientific mysticism. We're obviously jonesing for some more hyperdimensional crack from Richard's rarefied orbit. Maybe he'll find the other shoe soon and he and his coauthor can write the book, "Ancient Alien footwear on Mars" or some such.

@Misti Parker. Why are you wasting valuable energy on metaphysical non-sense?. If you really want to transcend yourself,I have a couple of humbles suggestions.
1) Hegelian Master-Slave Dialectic
2) Arthur Schopenhauer: World as Will & Representation
These are the real intellectual McCoys,Forget about the Bible, the Orbs & the Dark side of the Matrix.
I have no interest in metaphysics or in transcending myself. Those are mis-characterizations, of a different sort, but of the same tactic that Fright Soot would use, Ms Enema.
Aww, Misti talking about enema, she`s so kinky. I`m taking it as a challenge ;)
By the way,Misti,Playing potty-mouth with me over a public forum is not a very good idea.
1) I`m not thin skinned.
2) If you think you`re mean,think twice.
3) Most importantly, during our previous conversations (Under my real name) I`ve always behaved very decently with you. Please don`t take it as a sign of weakness. The only person who never treated you like dirt, was me, Ms Emma Peel aka Tara Jordan.....

I'm too embarrassed to say this any way but anonymously, but I used to be kinda taken in by some of Hoagland's Moon and Mars stuff. When he makes a presentation, it's almost like he has a stupidity ray. I am not a physicist, engineer or physical scientist, but to the lay-person, he makes you think "could this be true"? I found his discussion of the crystalline/prismatic structure on the moon compelling because of his alleged photographic evidence of refraction and stuff. I just know it's wrong now because of how incredibly inane his garbage is, but I still don't get that. Can you please explain, Expat? Also, his discussion of reflectivity on the structures in cydonia and the photographic analysis using the type of technology that is used to recognize manmade features on Earth threw me, too. Are there some good discussions or refutation/debunking of these individual issues because my knowledge of the science is not very good but I want to know why this silliness is untrue and I'm sure it is. What is the deal with the idea that a watch with a mini tuning fork can somehow pick up "torsion" effects? LOL.
You can dive into the vast index of Expat, Anon. All that has been extensively covered. No need to apologize. The "prisms" and "reflectivity" are really Photoshopped fakes, based on the excuse of "image enhancement" to completely alter it from tiny digital artifacts or scratches in the official photos, probably perpetrated by Mike Bara.

Yes, all right -- the people have spoken. "Misti", be warned. I will start deleting childishly insulting posts from now on even if they aren't actually offensive. Also I've had it with Pres. Obama's eligibility. That's a taboo topic from now on.
Other anonymous: Esteban's links are good. All Hoagland & Bara's presentations on the "face" -- especially the ones which claim that one side of it is made of shiny metal -- are so much trash now that we have this to admire.
In response to Mike Tara`s rant against "the Hispanics votes",this is what the lowlife fake blond, but real gutter trash Sara Shanae had to say:" Beaners are so flippin stupid, my last name Vasquez.I am a Latin American. Venezuelan and Spanish. Yes, I am racist scum against my own culture....".Mike Bara & his fans, quite a classy bunch.
Next time Bara appears on a radio show, someone should call & educate the listeners about Mike Bara negrophobia & sheer racism
Anonymous, I am never embarrassed to admit that I used to be a dyed-in-the-wool Richard C. Hoagland True Believer. I feel it's important for me to be totally out of the closet about that, because it serves to illustrate how easy it is for thinking people to get taken in by Hoagland's very seductive and appealing belief system.
Also, if I'm arguing with somebody who's still a Hoagland believer, I feel it's helpful to be able to say I was once in the same place they were. It lets them know I am not coming from a place of knee-jerk hostility toward all extraordinary claims.
Emma, every time I go to Sara Shanae's home town of Los Angeles, I am amazed by how much more Latinos are there, as compared to my increasingly white home town, San Francisco. It's kind of stunning to hear that kind of racism coming from a resident of such a beautifully multi-ethnic city.
Expat, thank you. One person has managed to contaminate an otherwise insightful, civil conversation. I appreciate your position on the matter. Again, thank you!!

Lol. Richard Hoagland is the ultimate sleaze ball,he'd sell you the rope needed to hang him, plus he doesn't have any problem associating himself with a racist carrot cruncher like Mike Bara
I've never heard somebody called a "carrot cruncher" before. Emma, are you saying Mike Bara is a bunny rabbit?
That would certainly explain his desire to have us all follow him down the rabbit hole!
John Cooper, that pic you posted, it's weird to see Bara without facial hair. I think he looks slightly less creepy that way.
I see Richard holding hands with Robin while Mike has his arm clear up on the top of the backrest of the boot.
Bara's a bit Chinese eyed.
So, what?

For Hoagland-Crooks & Co, there is no such thing such as dignity. Expat & most amongst us are blacklisted on King Richard of Cydonia Facebook, yet Hoagland fan boys have no problem whatsoever at exposing themselves on this blog.
@Expat.I think this is so revealing of "Mike Bara`s popularity & his influence on the ufo market".Today he was appearing on the Rainbow Vision Network radio show.Bara is atrociously insignificant. While Coppens,Tsoukalos & the big pimps of the Ancient Aliens business are touring the world, giving lectures in a different city each & every day,Mike Bara is trolling the bottom of the paranormal-UFO radio shit tank.As to Richard Hoagland, he is pathetically non-existent
I heard that show, hoping to glean some material for a blogpost. No such luck -- it was just the same old same old. The interviewer, Rita Louise, was unbelievably bad ("We all have to wake up. So much has been hidden from us"). Ugh.
Wow, coming here a few days later, I see a lot of posts deleted by the admin and very little insults by Misti. A welcome change.
Expat, I just began reading some of those posts on hyperdimensional physics by Hoagland on enterprisemission.com. The first one I read had quite a few solar system tidbits and terribly boring. I almost get the crumpled space thing, but where does he get that weird tetrahedron garbage? And I don't understanrd why he would talk about that kook Lt. Col. Bearden, who doesn't have a legitimate PhD. Not that I would rely entirely on credentials, but it seems like it's better to admit that you have no credentials than to have phony ones. Do you think partt of the reason Hoagland would bring in such figures to his narrative would be to have a ready-made expansion of his audience? I am just trying to understand why one would EVER cite such a poor source? He may as well have cited that insane guy who built Coral Castle...
The tetrahedral nonsense was the work of Errol Torun, a cartographer working for the US Navy. Hoagland referred to him in the 'Project Camelot' interview:
"As part of my research when Errol Torun came on board the investigation, we realized one day that there was exquisite mathematical linkage between the physical placement of the ruins on Mars and the physical placement of the ruins in Egypt. In fact, if I remember this correctly, the Cosine of one was equivalent to the Sine of another. The odds of that happening are 7000 to 1. In other words, each special place in the Sphinx and pyramids, on two separate planets, knew the other's location, to one part in 7000."
That's not mathematics -- it's the OPPOSITE of mathematics (not to even mention that the equivalence doesn't work. Owen Mesa is at 40.74°, the Great Pyramid is at 30°).
Actually, tan 41 = cos 30 = 0.87. That must be what he was half-remembering. It DOES NOT MEAN that they "knew each other's location."
As to how he works out those odds of 7000 to 1, I must say I'm baffled.
"As to how he works out those odds of 7000 to 1, I must say I'm baffled."
I believe the technical term for what Hoagland did is called "pulling the numbers out of his ass".
I am really intrigued by Hoagland's math... As far as I can see, everything from 15 degrees to 25 degrees "equals" 19.5. LOL. He might have bigger outliers than that... I'd need to check. I've delved into your archives pretty deeply, Expat. Good work. If I'm right about the extent of his deviations, there is an extremely crude logic, as 15 and 25 are 5-5.5 away from 19.5. But here's a thought: if you have up to 11 degrees to work with, that's 12.2 percent of all latitudes. And on Earth, that's a good swathe of ancient and modern society, especially since the extreme northern and southern polar regions are nearly uninhabited.
Yes, and you might also notice that in Hoag-math, 133 = 33.
http://dorkmission.blogspot.com/2010/12/tiny-bacterium-defeats-pseudoscientist.html
Yeah and I was very amused by his numerology. I really don't get the connection between a circle inscribed with an equilateral triangle and "hyperdimensional physics". Oh and what is that angular momentum vs luminosity thing? An why does Hoagland neglect 4 of the planets? I'm talking about the hyperdimensional physics exposition where he talks about the HD prediction of at least one additional planet in the solar system (part II).
Hoagland's numerology was the big WTF moment for me. Especially that "town square" page where he finds all kinds of "STUNNING...CONFIRMATION" in totally random ratios (like 19/47 - wow) and draws from it accurate data to 8 decimal places. Angles like 5 times pi over the square root of 43 prove it's an artificial structure.
Makes me wonder what a day in the life of the guy who aligns King Barry's silverware to 19.5 degrees of the planet Koozebane (google it) every time Putin comes to visit.
http://io9.com/5962240/scientists-claim-to-have-discovered-something-earthshaking-on-mars
Then again, looks like Hoagland might be right after all.
STAY TUNED.....
I really don't get the connection between a circle inscribed with an equilateral triangle and "hyperdimensional physics"
I think Circle=Sphere and Equilateral Triangle=Tetrahedron/Pyramid. That is my understanding of this tenuous and vague nothing of a theory.
Those Egyptians were good at Fractions - 30 deg out of 90 - 1/3 exactly...
Strahlungsamt, that's an exciting article, but past experience has taught us NASA has a tendency to over-hype thing in the days leading up to their big announcements and then whatever they announce doesn't live up to the expectations they've created.
I'll certainly hope for something truly earthshaking, but if I was a betting man, I wouldn't bet on them telling us they found evidence of life.
Biological Unit,
Yeah, I meant a tetrahedron inside a sphere. And why doesn't Hoagland just come up with latitudes which point to actual important places on the earth, instead of 19.5 which doesn't hit ANYTHING, except Mauna Loa.
Another key point: If the 19.5° latitude were really the source of hyperdimensional energy upwelling, you'd expect that some amazing eruptions and earthquakes would occur at those latitudes regularly. However, none of the "top ten" in history have been at 19.5.
This doesn't bother Hoagland, of course. He simply lies about it -- as he did when he declared that the Port-au-Prince quake was at 19.5 instead of 18.5.

Hi Mike, I just watched the 2009 videos by your friend Richard Hogeland-Obama & 2012. Very interesting to say the least. So with all of that spinning around in my mind, and now that we've officially reached the 30 day countdown to 12-21-12, what I'm wondering is if Richard has updates to where we are at? Were his predictions right? Would love to hear your point of view. Thanks!

I guess the only way for those two villains to get along is to ignore each others' politics. If they ever got to discussing President Obama they'd rip each others' balls off.
So they aren't on the same page politically? I haven't knowingly heard or read Bara, but Hoagland seems pretty positive on Obama.

Coast to Coast AM - Nov 16 2012 -
Ruined apartment structures on Mars, right on the edge of Glenelg. Bunkers of long crystal clear panes of glass, ribbing, with debris and angular blocks broken off. NASA links to Hoagland's paper will be set up at his website.
Viking mission found Nitrogen was 2.7% but it has impossibly since fallen by 30% in the past thirty years. Mars is getting warmer, along with the entire Solar system, and permafrost is thawing. Nitrogen is being absorbed by biological entities underground.
Hoagland will call Noory from his cruise in the Yucatan on 12/21/2012, and will detail his historic confirmation of "what the Mayans really knew," using unique torsion measurements gathered with the financial support of NBC News, in 2009 - both at the major Mayan pyramid complex at Teotihuacan, Mexico, and at Tikal, Guatemala.
In the words of his native Mayan guide, Francisco Florian, who physically assisted and witnessed, first-hand, Hoagland collecting this unique scientific data:
"Seeing these measurements on the computer screen finally made real for me all the stories of these energizing, sacred places that I've been told about my entire life, from my own people -."
Using these historic Mayan measurements as background, Hoagland then will preview -- for the "Away Team" that is going ashore in the Yucatan to assist him in measuring the torsion field of perhaps the most famous Mayan Pyramid of all, the mysterious "Kulkuklan Pyramid" at Chichen Itza.
His figures for the N2 fraction of the atmos seem to be correct. His interpretation of them is absolutely wild.
Julian: Bara's opinion is that Barack Obama (who he insists on calling Barack HUSSEIN Obama) is the worst pres since Carter. Guess who his "best-ever" is? Yes you got it, Reagan. Yet he says he's a libertarian, not a republican.
I've noticed that lots of right-wing Republicans have taken to calling themselves Libertarians because they understand how universally hated Republicans are.
@flightsuit,
These labels are what we apply to ourselves. I'm registered as a Democrat both with the local election authority and the Democratic Party, but I self-identify as a Social Democrat, which is quite a different thing. Nevertheless, it does seem that there are a lot of self-styled "libertarians" running around (not streaking, oddly enough) who seem to have almost all the characteristic positions as Republicans, but are fine with legalizing MJ or some other position(s) on social issues.
Expat,
I just listened to and very much enjoyed your interview on Paracast. Listening to the advertisements, it seems like they must have a very interesting audience.
Thanks, Julian, I appreciate the comment.

Hancock is really the one who'll be eating shit on Dec. 22nd. Bara not so much -- he hedged his bets.
I think Hancock has moved on to herbal remedies. Maybe he has duplicated the amazing feats of Carlos Castaneda, and can dream himself in a different realm and wake up in that dream to find that he has physically teleportated himself there? Someplace other than where the effects of 2012 might be encountered, perhaps?
Without ressorting to circular reasoning, Pattacakes, I know the name of this blog, but why pick exclusively on Tweedledum and Tweedledummerer, when there are so many other, much more influential psuedo scientific bodies in the World, such as NASA?

==========================
How interesting to see somebody referring to RCH as "Dr. Hoagland." I too made that mistake, back when I was still a Hoagland believer. I guess Hoagland can't be blames if some of us choose to mistake him for a PhD, but as far as I know, he isn't one.
Misti, NASA does not

- Climb meso-American pyramids bearing 30 year old technology, then write false statements about the results

- Watch itself on TV and post to FB "I'm awesome in HD"

NASA once again has announce a 'Stay Tuned' promotion about some great new discovery found by Curiosity on Mars. If they announce some new life form, will Pattacakes believe what they say? Even Richard C Hoagland agrees with NASA on this one.
http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/science/2010/12/this_paper_should_not_have_been_published.html
You could have read the story on this very blog:
http://dorkmission.blogspot.com/2012/01/update-on-gfaj-1.html
http://dorkmission.blogspot.com/2012/02/gfaj-1-movie.html
NASA recently made another big teasing, "Stay Tuned" announcement, just like when they announced a press conference on an undisclosed subject, that turned out to be the fake arsenic eating bacteria, which they did to steal the headlines away from the return of the lost in Space, nuclear powered, Project Prometheus, X 37B.
Richard Cesium Hoagland went on Coast in support of NASASS' phony assertions that the finding proves life on Mars and other planets to be much more likely. Even though Hougland named the Space Shuttle Enterprise, and had spent four hours on Coast, touting the virtues of Project Prometheus, he didn't mention a word about the return or the mission of the X-37B. The next day, he then deleted all question from his facebutt page, about the X-37B and Project Prometheus, without comment.
The question to you, Pattacakes, is, will you believe NASA when they
finally hold this press conference to announce what Curiosity has discovered on Mars as a new life form?
I wouldn't dream of pre-judging the question. PLEASE PLEASE stop posting repetitive fantasies.
I am amazed and saddened by Misti and a lot of other members of the Internet peanut gallery who are either convinced NASA is about to announce proof of life on Mars or who are going to be bitterly disappointed when that does not happen.
Your expectations betray a serious lack of understanding of how the scientific method works. Even if NASA has a photograph of a damned fossil (like RCH's crynoid, for example), they're not going to come out and proclaim it to be life on Mars, because that's not how science works.
The most they would do is say, "This looks like it could possibly be a sign of life, but more study will be necessary before we can be sure, and we need to explore every other possible explanation as well."
Probably they're just going to tell us that some gas or chemical appears to be present in sufficient quantities to be consistent with there once having been life on Mars, and they will be sure to add that this doesn't necessarily mean there was life there.
Fright Soot, if you aren't dangling over the railing of the Peanut Gallery here, I don't know who else is.
If NASA doesn't announce life on Mars, then the press conference will simply be to distract once again, from some other coincidental DoD activity.
NASA has an established track record of that.
That NASA is guilty of bad PR moves does not mean NASA is in some big conspiracy to distract you from something the military is doing.
NASA is the PR department of the Military. They sure don't do science, anymore.
I'm sorry Misti, but it is fucking IMPOSSIBLE to take you seriously when you make statements like that.
In 2006 I was proud to spend a week of my life participating in a study at the NASA Ames facility in Mountain View. I know for a fact that NASA does science because I was there as a willing guinea pig.
You should really think before you open your mouth.
