Bara banned!

I wonder if that's the real reason....

He has been extremely critical of Gaia, a sacred cow of these folks, so that could be a real reason. I doubt his support of Hair Führer would get him banned. Just as - if not more - likely is sexual harassment given his own writings and picture postings.

Well, if they recognize bigotry, hate, racism, xenophobia, misogyny and homophobia when they see it embodied in one person, I have no argument with them.

Ridiculous SJW buzzwords aside, the fact remains: A person can dislike or hate something or someone for whatever reason suits them---like any personal preference, it's something you're not required to defend to ANYONE---but to live in a civil society, you can't ACT on your dislikes by harming those whom you dislike. No striking with hands or weapons, no setting things on fire, etc., etc. Hate all you want, associate or don't associate with whomever for whatever reason, just keep your damned paws to yourself and practice TOLERANCE. It won't kill you, you know.

Now, as to why I said all this:

People who feel the need to spout lame labels like "racist" and "homophobe" and "bigot" and "misogynist" and so on and so on can take their stupid little labels and jam them up their backsides for all a lot of us care. Those of you who use such labels are hypocrites of the first water: you show intolerance for other viewpoints by your very name-calling in an effort to show the world what a wonderful, caring, let's-all-share-a-Coke-and-sing-Kumbaya person you are.

Spare us.

Yeah God forbid anyone should have to defend their position on thinking it's cool to burn crosses in front yards or the persecution of religious minorities. I mean, as long as they don't actually herd anyone into the gas chambers themselves then that's cool right?

People are entitled to their own opinions, but other people are also entitled to call them out on it and if they can't actually defend their world view in public as quickly as they espouse it then it clearly doesn't have much intellectual foundation.

I don't like the unjustified and lazy flinging of labels at people any more than anyone else. Calling someone a racist or homophobe or misogynist does not automatically make someone so, and heavy words shouldn't be lightly thrown, but if someone actually is a racist, or a homophobe, or misogynist, then civilised people are entitled to point that out and heap whatever opprobrium on them that they deserve.

Weeping and wailing that the people called you nasty names doesn't mean that you aren't a nasty person.

So is it your position that these labels are never justified under any circumstances?

FWIW David Wilcock is booked for CitD 2019, despite having had a very acrimonious split with Gaia last year.

Learn to read, Mr. Knee-Jerk Virtue Signaler.

I said hate whom you want for whatever reason, but don't go beating on anyone or burning things or taking action in general just because you don't like 'em.

Don't worry, though---your image as a White Knight and Denouncer of the Politically Incorrect is intact.

P.S. Nice attempt at a straw-man there by claiming I still favored persecution without harming anyone. Too bad it was so blatantly transparent...But I suppose that arose from your inability to read what I wrote.

Ciao.

"So is it your position that these labels are never justified under any circumstances?"

So is it your position that "labeling" people by calling them names is in any way different from the labels the hateful person might apply to the people he/she dislikes? Is it your position that "labeling" people with names like "homophobe" or "xenophobe" or "racist" or whatever is somehow going to materially change that person's mind?

Here's a crazy idea: If someone minds their own business and doesn't go around assaulting people or damaging property and just keeps their dislikes to themselves without acting out, how about the rest of us do likewise and mind OUR own business?

That does not answer my question.

Anon writes: "People who feel the need to spout lame labels like "racist" and "homophobe" and "bigot" and "misogynist" and so on..."

Sadly for Mike Bara in his case the descriptions are all accurate; he's on record demonstrating all of them. Actually I'd add "crippling narcissism" to Trekker's list of appalling traits.

purpleivan said...

Yes Mr Anon... if someone makes xenophobic or misogynistic statements, do you think it is it reasonable to call that person a xenophobe or a misogynist.

In the same way that someone who makes idiotic statements would be called an idiot.

Chris Lopes said...

I think the point Anon might be trying to make is that being a complete dick (provided you keep it to yourself) aught not cost you your livelihood. In Mike's case, the problem is he makes his living in the public eye. He depends on people being willing to spend money to hear his words od wisdom. If the folks running these pseudoscience circle jerks think Mike is too much of an ass to attract paying customers, they have to act accordingly.

I keep getting locked out of Twitter and Facebutt, ghost accounts, all the time, due to nebulous, 'Unusual Activity'. They demand for me to provide them with a telephone number, just like that Dick Hoagland used to do.

I don't have a telephone. Cell phones cause Cancer, and as you know with me, Unusual Activity, is precisely, the fucking point.

The reason I come here is to hear the latest stupidity/duplicity of people like Bara and Sean David Morton and Richard "Hyperdimensional Handwaving Numerology" Hoaxland and Linda "I'll Believe Damn Near Anything You Tell Me" Howe. And I must say the more I hear, the more the words "huckster" and "credulous loon" come to mind.

The irony of it all is, by regarding these people as either horribly gullible or out-and-out snake-oil salespersons, I'm engaging in name-calling too. What to do, what to do!?! ;-)

Anonymous said...

While Bara may well deserve his "titles" the glaring truth is that all too often people apply the word racist, sexist, etc. to anything or anyone they have decided to disagree with or to be offend by. The press and "ist" fanbois jump at the chance to define someone.

All that aside I continue to be appalled that people still buy into the crap being pushed by the likes of Morton, Bara, Hoagland and more.

Get a fucking life.

The reason why Hoaland has such weak enemies as you nincompoops, is because he's irrelevant.

expat said...

He's irrelevant by his own choice, actually. He refuses to be on television unless he gets a) Co-producer credit, and b) First class travel for himself and his fancy-woman.

I could be wrong but I think his last TV appearance was his escapade at Teotihuacan in April 2009, for SyFy.

Aleck Schmart said...

It would be tough to credit him as co-producer on a regular series program, but first class travel isn't too, much to ask, unless he isn't being paid anything to deduct it from in the first place.

Chris Lopes said...

Hoagland's irrelevant because he lost his gig on C2C and is too friggin lazy to write anything new.

Chris said: "Hoagland's irrelevant because he lost his gig on C2C and is too friggin lazy to write anything new."

I guess after his (cough-cough) "magnum opus" 'Moronuments of Mars' he doesn't feel the need to crank out any more Hyperdimensional bilge for us unenlightened folk....

And somebody (not me) said: "Get a fucking life. The reason why Hoaland has such weak enemies as you nincompoops, is because he's irrelevant."

What an odd sentiment. Hoaxland is irrelevant, yet at the same time people who think he's full of hot air and say so are labeled as "weak enemies" and "nincompoops". Gosh, maybe you shouldn't come here if the "weak enemies" and "nincompoops" upset you so....Frankly, I think I'm in pretty good company. :-)

expat said...

Presumably a "strong enemy" would be one who seduced his old lady and poisoned his dog, or the other way round.

Either way, not my style. I'll remain "weak" in some people's eyes.

Anonymass said...

The fact that you think that you're pretty good company proves what a nincompoop you truly are. Just because Hoagland is irrelevant, isn't to say that all you clowns aren't totally, hysterical. No matter how hard you try to validate Hoagland by trying to make it seem that he's worth reining in, it ain't working.

I think "Anonymass" is Theadora a.k.a. Orbs.

I'm alloweing these comments for now.

I sincerely do appreciate the sentiment, Patrick. In light of your having posted that comment while holding the belief that you do, I'd say is evidence that you're not so weak as implied. However, since you fail to represent yourself with your professional identity, this personae you present here, is strictly, minor league. On the other hand, Richard C Hoagland, whomever he really is, is actually, famous. You're just riding on his coat tails.

G-Zeus said...

Riding on his coat tails, dragging a Z-list celebrity into the mud! Don't you do that! But if you do, you are jellyous. If you don't, you will allow a Hy per di men sion al future utopia!

For those of you who weren't around from the beginning, and for the ignoramuses who were, I'll tell this story afuckinggain. I first went to Hoagland's, facebutt page, because the Face On Mars at Cydonia, is the most significant story of our time; irrespective of whether the artifacts are actually there, or simply airbrushed in by NASA.

I noticed all the lameoid nerds there, so I became an affiliate of a Russian match making website in order to market to them. As I'm not a public figure, and don't intend to become one, I needed an attractive profile. It wouldn't have been fair to rip an image of the bait on the Russian website, so I used a picture of a mannequin.

After that, for some unknown reason, Hoagland started hitting on me. When I rejected him, he accused me of being a tranny, and said to me: "I hope you like being called, Theo." What a Dick. Nevertheless, I took that in stride, but when I posted innocent questions for him, he would obfuscate, delete and censor them, just like Patrick does. That just made me suspicious.

Just keep fucking with me. See what happens.

Aleck Schmart said...

Richard C Hoagland, knows that the Face on Mars at Cydonia is real, but he can't even tell the difference between an over priced, Judy Doll, and a real girl.

So then tell us my dear, are you a boy or a girl?

Anonymass said...

It's perfectly obvious to me, why Hoagland started hitting on you. He's too damned cheap to pay the membership fee at the Russian matchmaking website.

purpleivan said...

I'm barely curious, but what does happen?
