He went on to say that, even though a torsion field may be a "complex thing," Richard Hoagland has measured it. Well, no, Mike, he hasn't. Hoagland has claimed that he sensed it with his Accutron setup — at the Teotihuacan Pyramid, the Coral Castle, and more recently at Stonehenge. But sensing it is not measuring it. He has never even stated what units it would be measured in. His pathetically inadequate experimental protocol, criticized by James Concannon on this blog back in May last year, does not even provide a scale by which actual torsion energy, if it exists, might be measured. All he has shown are some spikes of frequency variation, some of which occur during the time of the "torsion wave," but many of which do not.

Mike Bara's own words (at 05:00) ought to have been a clue to the bankruptcy of the Hyperdimensional Physics/Torsion Energy scam. He said "The motion of the Earth itself, the rotation of the Earth and its motion through space in its orbit around the Sun — that motion itself ... should theoretically be able to pull energy from the vacuum, or pull it from higher dimensions." Well, Hello??? isn't the fact that this does not actually happen a bit of a give-away that the underlying theory is invalid?
There were other gems in this half hour of unscientific fantasy. HAARP can harden the ionosphere against solar flares, and this is the true secret purpose of the HAARP installations. The Moon has been "modified," or "engineered," by persons unknown. Not to mention quite a bit of the New Agey anti-wisdom about the consciousness and spirituality of the planet. That stuff is frankly out of my league and I don't pretend to understand it.
Why does Mike Bara get so many of these pseud-psych gigs? Don't answer that — I know. He can fill air time in a way that sounds interesting. Only those with some knowledge of physics realize that they're hearing garbage.

I keep thinking that if I were to get a frontal lobotomy or some spike through my brain and lose my morals, that I could make SO much ¢a$h by making stuff up like these guys. I mean, I actually know the lingo!
I've actually kinda considered doing it in blog form for a few months and then do a reveal. My only worry in doing that is there will be some people after the reveal who think that I'm lying in the reveal.
I can totally picture RCH running up and down the steps of the Teotihuacan pyramids or round in circles at Stonehenge with a couple of tuning forks in his hands or all sorts of "hi-tech gadgets and gizmos", like some excited kid on xmas day in a Ghostbuster costume shouting "Robin! Robin! Come look! we're reading ectoplasm and HD waves all over the place! Come look!"
But there's more to Art's antenna than just amazing reception, there's also a powerful, even dangerous anomaly at work. Soon after the antenna went up, Art put his hand to it and, well, as he put it, "I had the crap shocked out of me. . . several times." Somehow that enormous antenna, free from any connections to a power source, was generating 350 volts. "There's no wind," Art says, "and it's not static generated." The power company couldn't give him any answers, and the only way to get rid of the voltage before it ruined Art's equipment - or really hurt someone - was to take it to ground. "I drove eight-foot rods into the ground . . . and finally got rid of the voltage. It's very curious. Where is the power coming from? It's coming from . . . I don't know where. It is coming from the differential between the sky and the earth? I don't know . . ."
http://www.ccrane.com/library/art-bell.11.19.02.aspx
As the Earth rotates through it's magnetic field, Art's antennae acts like a pole in an electric generator.
Is that Hyper Dimensional?
It is ultimately discharging the Solar Capacitor. Where does this current arise from? It just is!
Misti,
I think Art's poor grasp of basic physics explains the phenomenon he experienced.
He erected a giant metal antenna in a dry desert with no grounding or static protection. Dry air is a good insulator and can lead to a large static buildup. Atmospheric phenomena (weather) can generate static. It's the same effect as getting a shock when you walk across a carpet and touch a doorknob. Electricity builds up in your body and then discharges suddenly once it hits a conductor. If Bell had understood basic physics he would known this and done something to protect his equipment.
In addition, the giant antenna could have been struck by lightning (it doesn't need a storm) or a solar flare could have send a strong radio pulse which might have charged it up. In all cases, it was a natural phenomenon and not caused by any hyperdimensional, anomalies or electric universe nonsense.
Also, Bell seems to hold a high opinion of himself. He claims he warned the world of Y2K, when in fact computer scientists all over the world figured it out already. As for the Internet Radio thing, he's not the first to do that either.
He sounds like Hoagland lite, taking credit for discovering oceans under Europa when in fact others had written papers on it first, or claiming he thought of the plaque for Pioneer 10.
He would be a lot better off examining natural explanations for things before indulging in "controversial" ones. All he's doing is showing his own ignorance as well as the scientific illiteracy of his audience. I think that's really a sad reflection on the way the human race is going.
Another example of a static phenomenon was during the filming of "The Passion of the Christ" when James Caveziel's cross was struck by lightning twice during filming and in both cases he survived.
Again, the Passion was filmed in Southern Italy, in dry desert air, on the top of a hill.
The cross was (most likely) supported by a metal bar, stuck in the ground which we don't see in the final film. This would act as a perfect lightning conductor. If it was struck by lightning, the electricity would go straight into the ground and the person on the cross wouldn't feel anything.
Again, Physics:1, Miracles: 0.
Here's yet another of Art Bell's "greatest moments". A totally debunked story of some Soviet miners drilling a hole into Hell and recording the noises they heard.
I can tell you 100% that this was done with a recording of background noise put through some kind of audio software. Besides, if it was true, how come every other roadworks isn't drilling into Hell too?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iPIXq_jGMQ
The snopes debunking.
http://www.snopes.com/religion/wellhell.asp
strahlungsamt,
The fact that the phenomenon went away after he actually grounded the antenna would tend to support the idea that it was static. The fact that a licensed amateur radio operator didn't seem to realize this is puzzling.
I listened to Art talk about this on the air, at the time. He said that the telephone company grounds all their lines, because they also incur the same hazardous, constant, high voltage, which is not static.
As for Y2K, Art hosted Gary North, who was the Paul Revere of Y2K. If it wasn't for industry bringing engineers out of retirement, who were fluent in COBOL and FORTRAN, we would all be living as back in the Stone-age, today.
Nevertheless, entertainment is job one for Art. He is never one to discourage a hoax or a misperception, but he always leaves clues for those who listen closely to how he phrases his questions and comments.
For example, the voices of ghosts caught on tape recorders. What do they call that? Art always feigns endorsement of it by saying: "Those voices are recorded on professional recording equipment, so it couldn't be fake."
"For example, the voices of ghosts caught on tape recorders. What do they call that? For example, the voices of ghosts caught on tape recorders. What do they call that? "
EVP - Electronic Voice Phenomena. They're almost as baffling to me as that silly "reverse speech" that Art loved for a while, then banned.
Then there was the guy who called in baffled by his own power to make street lights turn out as he drove beneath them. Art solicited anyone else who had noticed that they too had this amazing power.
I don't know for sure, by I suspect that those halide street lights get so hot, that they are equipped with a thermostat so to briefly shut off and cool down. Those damned things are not only bad for your eyes, due to the UV rays, but then when you are out walking at night, they shut off and your eyes then have to adjust to the dark. Happens all the time to me.
Or is that Hyper Dimensional?
OMG:
I swear what I am about to type is 1000% true!!!
I have literally just joined a "Camelot live stream" where I've joined a broadcast by RCH saying Elenin and YU55 where targeted for "detonation" by people/a weapon at Vandenburg, BUT!!! they [the comets] "evaded" the weapons of the people who intended to destroy them... (I quote HIS words, not mine)... How I can be constantly surprised by this guys BULLSHIT is a testament to itself - surely NASA or JPL or a whole bunch of astronomers would have noticed if these "space ship comets" would have zig-zagged around missiles being fired out into space (or maybe that is WHY we have no close up photos)...
I wish I'd have joined the broadcast earlier so I could get the full story and not just piecing together the last 2 mins, but I'm inclined to think it's an old broadcast, but I had no seen it before, and I thought it was worth sharing - perhaps it rings a bell with someone here??
If I can find the full link to the story, I will share it - although I appreciate Elenin is "old news", only I'd not heard him tell the story of how they evaded an onslaught of space weapon attacks, because they were NOT comets but intelligently-controlled spacecraft, here to raise human consciousness etc etc etc
I wonder if he explained how rockets were launched from Vandenberg without anyone noticing!
Well, I missed all but the last few mins of the interview, but it seemed that RCH decided to stay well clear of such of logical question. I will say, it was my inclination was RCH was referring to either "missiles" that were launched under the cover of darkness [maybe hidden by "aircraft noise"?!] OR were of a more "advanced" nature that would not light up the sky with light and sound - but that is just my inference from what I heard of the last few mins, however he DID say the "comets" were targeted by [quote] "missiles". I would love to share the link of the webcast if it was not live and is in the Camelot archive.
As if this couldn't get silly enough, apparently "The Captain" is going to explain to one and all what the discussion of space in the Republican nomination fight was REALLY about. Of course one politician trying to win votes in Florida by talking about space and another using that talk to ridicule him is much too obvious for Hoagland. It has to be part of a wider, much bigger game. Fortunately, we have him around to figure it all out for us. I see comedy gold in any case.
Are you insane, Chris? Politicians don't just say things to win votes! That's just madness! - CLEARLY Newt is doing his level best to tell the world about free energy technology and fix the global economy for a thousand years by taking us all out into space - just like Barry has being trying to achieve... or it will be the perfect excuse for a false flag alien invasion, in which case Barry's real birth certificate will be found, thus allowing him to re-run for President in 2016 (under his Egyptian name), win, defeat the "aliens" and lead to us to glory that way...
Stay tuned!

Yeah thanks Misti, I spotted that comment by Greg too on RCH's bulletin - glad I'm not the only one who saw it. I'll have to see if I can find the full broadcast if it's in the archives, I hadn't seen it before.
I've not been on FB all day but I'm sure the thankful disciples are all on their knees thanking whichever Egyptian god they are secretly supposed to be praying to, that their beloved master has returned to educate his flock, for they have been lost without the Great One's presence 'in the last few days'.
Write something...

BULLETIN:
In the midst of a MAJOR research project (hence my temporary absense from Facebook the past few days ...), I will be making another appearance on "Coast" --top of the First Hour -- tomorrow night, Sunday, February 5th.
I will be discussing (among other new developments) the sudden, surprising appearance of "space" in the Republican primary election campaign ... and what it REALLY means for all the rest of us.
Stay tuned .... :)

Will Hoagy get the entire first hour, or a two minute cut to?
Since he said "top of the first hour," I'm betting it'll be a news quickie.
What can he say in a quickie?
"Smoke good. Fire bad."
It probably will be a quickie broadcast but even if there are no "ground breaking revelations", I'm sure plenty of his followers will be seeing a ton of meaning in whatever story he hints at; whilst complaining The Captain doesn't get enough time on the air waves to help make sense of the world... whilst eagerly staying tuned of course!!
I'm sure there's an old show biz-y saying about always leaving the audience wanting more... (Or not. In Dick's case).
Here are the Cliff notes in advance:
- Due to the string of recent Russian space failures, NASA will soon be forced to abandon ISS.
- My sources tell me Newt's Moonbase announcement is no accident. It's part of a careful plan to prepare us for a new commitment, regardless of who the next President is, to manned exploration of the Moon.
- THEY want to go back to retrieve more of the technology of the ancient inhabitants of the Moon, BUT THEY WON'T TELL US THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE DOING.
Perhaps we are all overlooking THE most important thing about this: we know politicians NEVER say whatever wins votes and NEVER break promises, so either Newt will get the country going back to the moon, or Barry will get 4 more years to do it - either way, we KNOW there's all sorts of lunar secrets hidden up there, so.......
Dark Mission 2, anyone?? $19.50 in all good book shops??...
(Then again, perhaps we will have to pay Dick to write a new book, if his "papers" are anything to go by).
Dark Mission 2 was originally proposed as a book about the Seekrit Space Program. Reading between the lines of the Dark Mission blog, Hoagland & Bara failed to agree on its content and Hoagland wasn't willing to go it alone.
Ah, thanks Expat. I meant my comment as a joke, I didn't know there was serious consideration to a DM2 (although it's not that surprising really: its a popular area, the first book sold, RCH is popular on the circuit etc etc). Perhaps over the next year might just be ideal timing for RCH to do another book: 2012, apocalypse, awakening, comet spaceships, re-incarnated gods etc. I would not be surprised if he has been working on that sort of stuff without Bara (if needs be), or another co-author: after all, there thousands of "fans" who would all pay $20 for a new book from their beloved Captain.
Anon,
The problem with that idea is that Hoagland has not been able to demonstrate the ability to write long form work in almost 2 years. I doubt he has the energy or discipline to actually write a book (he only managed to produce 1 on his own in 40 years). I could be wrong, but he's really more of a performance artist these days.
I largely agree with you Chris, and I doubt RCH has been "writing a new book" in just the 2 months he has been absent from FB land... but that said, their is a lot of history covered in Dark Mission - 2012/13 is *surely* the ideal time to consider such a follow up book: something more substantial than a dvd seminar, he has a big following, its the "year of Barry" just like he predicted, he is at the "height of his fame" to make some dollars etc etc etc - he may well need at least 1 co-author (especially whilst treading on toes of Richard Dolan or Bill Ryan in the secret space program etc), so I wouldn't rule it out...
...but I do agree that the "$10 web conferences & papers here and there" seem to be the norm for RCH right now. Whilst those of us who comment on this blog recognize his inability to put together anything substantial lately, his "disciples" do not share that view - hence *maybe* a new book in the next 12 months or so (if their is a publisher lined up etc etc)...
Ironically, I guess we will have to stay tuned to see if there is a new book over the next 12 months - I agree, and doubt it, but you never know: it is early in the year...
Expat was correct: Dick's appearance was only for a few minutes, and it revealed....... absolutely nothing whatsoever. (I listened twice, just to check I didn't miss any groundbreaking announcements).
So I guess Newt is RCH's new hero if Barry gets the boot - after all, he is the only one who WANTS to go to the moon to (a) boost the economy 7-17 times over, and (b) tell the us all about our ancient lunar history...
..but all those other bad democrats and republicans, who are in the know about what is up there, want to shit-can the idea to keep those secrets hidden forever and ever!!!!
Like I said, ground-breaking stuff.
Although I doubt any of his followers really noticed to be honest - I'm sure they were all way too busy watching all that blatant, 1000% undeniable, ritualistic, secret-encoded half time super bowl show - that CLEARLY was making reference to the dog star and isis and re-incarnated barry and elenin and yu55 and and and........
Dick's fans will be dining off that all the way to December 21 methinks. (Who knew Madonna followed RCH's facebook page so closely?!?)
Well, I didn't really get it right. I underestimated RCH's talent for, like the White Queen in Alice Through the Looking Glass, believing six impossible things before breakfast.
He said that the TV and blog pundits were against the Moonbase plan because they didn't want the secret Moon technology to be made public. Somehow forgetting that if the pundits know about it, IT ISN'T SECRET!
Yes, logic (along with everything else reality related) has never been Hoagland's strong point. The objection to Newt's ideas by people in the space blogs has nothing to do with "does he mean it", and everything to do with it not being physically and politically possible. While the know nothing political pundits were ridiculing Newt because the idea sounds nuts at first glance, the people who know what they are talking about on such issues (unlike Hoagland) also thought the idea was unrealistic (at best) and had no chance of ever going anywhere (pun intended). So either Hoagland isn't really monitoring those blogs as he said, or he's lying to promote his own narrative. Either way, it's (yet another) epic fail by everyone's favorite pseudo-scientist.
not being physically and politically possible
I agree, and furthermore Men never went. The tiny amount of Moon rocks we know about are conveniently the same that a few Robotic missions could gather!
For everyone's amusement, I present the following link that was posted on Hoagland's own FB page. Hoagie's part starts at the 17:13 mark and is (ironically enough) a real eye opener.
here
And the Academy Award for best sound editing goes to...
jourget,
My question is where was Robin in all that? I mean even she would have known that Hoagland was in NO condition to get in front of a camera at that moment. Hoagland's BS is incoherent enough when he's sober.
RCH said Nazi's have God-like Powers!
Really, where is he going with this?
I shall see your "Space Nazi's" and raise you 2 newly uploaded videos of "but but but Barry's from 19.5 Hawaii and he looks like the Sphinx and must be a re-incarnated god and will lead humanity to a glorious place in space on Dec 21st I triple promise"
Ok, so perhaps I'm ad-libbing a tiny bit, but if you have 3h43m to spare, perhaps you want to check out this video, uploaded last month:
Part 1 = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLk_IdyXqSM
Part 2 = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AzaQ-4LlRs
And if you don't have 3h43m to spare, you could always just listen to the first couple of mins of Robin being Dick's cheerleader, telling us how much a truly amazing, world-famous "exo-archiologist" he is, how lucky the audience members are to have such a gifted and brilliant scientist connect the dots for them, and literally all-round blowing his trumpet like a true groupie... so to speak.
I shall report back with my findings, if I manage to make it through near 4 hours of fact-based science...
Here once again we're in the improbable presence of "the wisdom of Youtube commenters":
I found this to be extremely boring...and I find Richard Hoagland to be condescending and arrogant. I kept waiting for something, anything juicy.
Chris,
I'm sure, no matter how soused, he's susceptible to anyone with a camera promising to post a diatribe online. "Buy me a round, son, and I'll tell you the real story".
jourget,
I'm sure you are right. That's all the more reason for him not to be let out without adult supervision.
I read the comments on those videos too, talk about your tough crowd. It isn't surprising though, not even the faithful really buy the "Obama as savior" meme. I don't understand why he keeps trying to sell it though. Maybe he's taking quite a bath on those "NASA, JFK, and the Obama Connection to 2012" DVD's.
I managed to get 10 mins in to this 3h43m presentation before I had to switch it off:
It opens with Dick talking about the 1st yr of barry's reign - sorry, presidency, and what might be happening in the 2nd yr; so the conference must have been filmed late 09/early 10.
This I had to share: http://i40.tinypic.com/152fc6x.png
A picture Dick says [quote] 'looks eerily like the president' when talking about a hieroglyph that was in Egypt during barry's first visit - spooky stuff, I know! (How much more proof can a person need?!)
10 mins was all I could stomach in one go: I had to switch off after the comment about barry [quote] 'being the first American pharaoh... he is bringing to the fore, the entire concept of the founding fathers, as to the role of the presidency'.
This quote/video may well be 2+ years old, but how Dick and STILL say the same thing, or how *anyone* can still defend him as right is beyond me.
Only 3hr33m left to go (333 - that actually IS a coincidence, ha!): I wonder if I'll manage to sit through it all before Newt gets his free-energy space economy going...
Anon,
Whatever you might think of Obama (and I am not a supporter), equating that picture with him is an insult. If an editorial cartoonist had (and yes, some have) drawn the president that way, he/she would have been thought of as disrespectful. Hoagland was so desperate to prove his thesis, he didn't see the obvious visual slur.
As I'm sure you can tell, I'm not barry's biggest fan, but there is a BIG difference between saying a tiny 4000 year old generic profile face hieroglyph "looks like" a black guy with 2 eyes a mouth and a nose, and saying it is PROOF / HARD EVIDENCE that barry *IS* a re-incarnated Egyptian god, that was once worshiped by millions and will be again as he leads us all to a paradise in the stars... and this is EXACTLY what Dick has stated as FACT. The exact opposite to "slur" in his mind.
As I said, I'm sure he missed it, but the "jug eared pharaoh/god" looks a lot like the deliberately insulting caricatures of Obama that are popular with certain folks.
